They assessed the injury as a broken claw on my cat and recommended sedation to remove the remaining claw that was left and clean the wound that was infected, which I agreed to. I thought they did a good job and that it would heal nicely BUT after two days (as they recommended) we removed the bandage and the paw was covered in pus and smelled rotten. Since it was the weekend they couldn't do anything. On Monday (today) I call the Västerhaninge vet and wonder what I even paid for because the wound is more mushy now and smells rotten. Now they claim that it is no longer a broken claw but that the cat does not have a foot pad (?). I ask the vet if it is the right picture she is looking at (because they had previously asked me to send a picture by email) and she says "yes". After the conversation with the vet, I call the partner who took the picture and tell him that the vet claims that the cat has lost its foot pad. My partner wonders the same thing if the vet even looked at the right picture because you can see that the cat has a footpad. He also wonders what is going on. Now the vet has abdicated his responsibility and does not want to take the cat in because they cannot do anything, so they sent a referral to another vet even though I repeated that the cat has a footpad, he can put weight on his paw, he jumps and walks normally. I had even booked an appointment tomorrow for them to take a look at it, but they still insist that he does not have a footpad even though they did not even look at the wound live. They cancelled the appointment and sent the referral. I paid 7500 kronor for absolutely nothing. I feel so incredibly cheated and my cat has suffered for a long time. PICTURE NO. 1 is when the wound was untouched by them. PICTURE NO. 2 is after they "fixed" the wound.
