A refurbished Jail, that now has bright colours and lights in all places.. That used to be a darker place with less lighting. You can really take yourself back in time if you just imagine it a bit darker and unfriendlier. As for a spot to visit, this is great for both kids and adults. Nothing scary about the place now as it is a museum. Nice information about its history. Loads of genuine artefacts.
Fun for kids. But they've taken no consideration to sound, which could be fixed easily by putting sound dampers on the walls and towards the ceiling. The food is mediocre and super-expensive. Recommend a later arrival for you to eat before you go there. Max is very close and do great burgers. Anyways, the place is a 5 for kids, but for adults the sound level is just too much. This place is just stuck in its ways and seems like they don't want to improve, or perhaps no one has told them, I know I haven't. I hope this reaches them then. SORT OUT THE SOUND LEVELS! A good hospital with great staff and overall just good. I see many people rating very low. But the reviews seem to point to a person that has treated them poorly, which shouldn't reflect the review of the hospital. The people working there are great, and of course everyone can't be. I've funnily enough spent A LOT of time here, I suspect it may be close to two months in time. This is spread over a few years though. Never had an issue, never met someone with a poor mood. Always had a good experience and met good professionals. A well deserved Five-Star!
Great place for being so central, the've built it up nice so you can tan, take a swim, play volley ball or exercise at the outside gym. So the little beach place is just amazing. It's not a hidden gem, but a gem none-the-less. Expect many people if the weather is good.
Wow, this place is out of this world. A must try with flavours that will shock you. Or if you go the spicy route, it might sting you. But the food is excellent, you can tell they know what they're doing in the kitchen. and the patio is lovely in the summer time. No complaints, food is a 5. Make sure you go try it at least once. And you'll see for yourself.
A really great lunch place, gävle has a lot of them, and this is definitely top 3. I suggest you go here for lunch and enjoy the buffet. in good weather the view is really nice too. watch people golf in the summer. Or you look out at a beautiful winter landscape.
I don't really know what to say when I feel a restaurant has gotten a One-Star from me, the food is a one. It's just not food, even if you get a foot-long sandwich you'll be hungry shortly after. This place should really look into getting good bread, because the current selection all feel like air. They mist have hit a yeast sweet-spot and managed to get good looking bread with a lot of air. Try squeezing a sandwich you've bought. You'll see it got to a third of what it looked like. The service is a two-level and the staff is just mediocre or even less. I don't know why this is still here. It's just not worth it in any aspect. Go buy a nice baguette at the store, get your toppings and dressings bought, go home and realize you can make it so much better. Use their method: Cheese it up, put in oven for two-three minutes, put on your toppings, salt and pepper, dressings. Bam, you just made a sandwich that is so much better than what you can get here. I really hope they change and get better, but it being a chain. I can't see it.
Its a good enough place, I'll give it a four, but I would have liked to give it a four out of ten. But a three doesn't cut it, they're slightly above three with the food being really good. Expect pizzeria, they all have the same dishes. Luckily this place has good dishes. Friendly staff, they're quite happy to talk and joke around with you. Atmosphere isn't great, but not horrible. There's a small room with slot machines hidden away, you'll very likely be hearing someone playing if you're close enough. Many people go there to gamble their money, its quite sad.
Food is very nice, the staff is great. The last star is missing due to the looks of the place inside. I get you can have the style it makes with the couches and tables, but nothing matches and it just feels really cramped and odd. Again, food is lovely, so still worth going to grab a bite there. This place has changed a lot over the years, but hasn't lost its touch. You can go here and enjoy different games and just have a really good night. When it comes to food, they have a limited selection. I mean there are options, just don't expect amazing. Because that it is not. Friendly staff, there are many security guards there often for some reason. And since they're not service people, they will put the mood down for you as you walk in. There's no smile or any sort of positive vibe as you get a hello when you approach the door. Imagine having a positive person there, just smiling and being happy there are customers. I guess we can't get it all.
Worth a visit even if you don't have an animal and not planning on getting one. This is super-cosy. Walk in the door, turn left and walk straight down, maybe say hi to some animals on the right as you walk down. Check it out, many aquariums with a lot of different species of fish. Take in the view and feeling. Walk the aquariums, then keep exploring the shop, There are more animals needing a visit. I really hope you enjoy!
A bit out of style, but they have lovely shows in here, you really must visit when there's an event. The event-room is really nice and it feels like you get really close with everyone even though you're not cramped in your seat. Let's go enjoy a show and maybe not care so much about the decoration. It's still nice to see, just feels like it needs an update is all. The people working there are super-nice people. The shows I've seen have been amazing.
Really great place to stop by for a few beers, go in sit down, take in the sports-bar atmosphere and just relax. There's a beer on the way and maybe you want to check out the menu. The food, not overwhelmingly good. But you're out drinking, the food will be just fine to get you back in the game. No need to reject the place for the Three-Star food. If it's one sure, but this is three, still try it out!
So, I have to give a Three-Star here. The food just didn't strike me as amazing at all. It was quite bland and boring. I'll have to go back later and see if it changed. But for now this is the rating I have to give. You can go still, its not bad, its just not all that. So if you're hungry, close to this place, want something that's a good price-range for being very central, you can definitely go here still. I hope the food improves. the place is nicely located on the top of the hill in the square and the patio is a nice place to sit during the summers for a drink.
You've found the spot, this place is a must after a night out and you're ready to go home, your slightly stumbling on invisible rocks, your stomach starts to roar, you need food. Here's a place that's open when your night has ended. Go by, get yourself a meal, take it home, eat and just fall asleep right after. Try not landing on that half of a pizza you have next to you! I have to quickly mention the atmosphere in here. It's just not good at all, it really hits you when you go in to check, it looks kind of awful. But the food sure makes up for it. Mainly pizza and the other regular options of a pizzeria, some kebab, falafel, you know the drill.
This is the number One restaurant in Gävle. There is no place that can match what they offer here. The food is just spectacular and is to me at least a One-Star Michelin. It is just stunning how good the food is here. Believe me when I say: You need to visit this place. The atmosphere inside is very good, it feels very open and not cramped at all. it feels like there's just a lot of space even though it's a tiny restaurant. Service is absolutely top, the staff is very happy and will spend time explaining the dishes, the drinks, and just anything you'd want to talk about. Me personally, I got given the method of making their cherry-juice. Which is used as a sauce.
