My family and I decided to visit this establishment in the year of our lord 2024. It was the end of March, and while the weather was warm, the winter was still hiding in the shadows, and the wind whispered tales of the tundra in the far north. As we entered, we were greeted by the hostess with the traditional "nod and hej" as is traditional of the Hallandings. The host, patriarch, and coulinaire, was deeply consumed by his work - as is to be expected of a man dedicated to his craft. We ordered a Volkan, as we were eager to experience this wonderful and imaginative piece of edible art. Can you believe that they give away this piece of brilliance for the pittance of 150 SEK?? Finding our seating in the atmospheric establishment, under a piece of equestrian themed modern art, we got comfy, and enjoyed the excuisite salad on offer, before our food arrived. As the waiter brought our food to the table, we were tingling with exitement. The Volkan was all we had hoped for, and more - the brilliance of serving the fries in the hole inside the ring - the variance and specificity of the choices of fillings - the marvelous decision to pair the fries with estragon mayonnaise. It struck an incredible balance, on the one hand, its shape reminds one of the scientific - a space station or the path of an atom. On the other hand, the mind is cast back in time by the flavors - reminding one of the coulinary traditions of the byzanine empire, or the spices brough to Europe by turkic tradespeople in times forgotten. Truly a marvel to behold. 5 stars.
