I did a private blood test at the beginning of the year that showed very high TPO-antibodies. Three doctors (private in Sweden, private abroad, and previous vårdcentral) said that I have potential hypothyroidism and should check my TSH at least once a year. I have recurrent sleep and eating issues that might be related to hypothyroidism. I had to register at Lunden this summer and I repeatedly called to ask to be tested. They first asked me to print all the previous documents and bring them in person, which I did. They did not come back to me about it. Then they kept saying that there is a very long waiting list and they cannot guarantee an appointment and I should try calling every morning at 8 until I get one. I did not feel heard during the calls and I feel like my access to healthcare is a lottery. After weeks without receiving a single appointment, I gave up. I called again today because my psychotherapist recommended that I receive sleeping pills and my thyroid be checked. Same story as before. I am so tired of this. It's a waste of time. I feel like the nurse that answers the phone always implies that I am not really sick. Also, when I take a phone appointment, sometimes they call me at a different time, when I cannot answer, and they don't call again until I take another appointment.
