We had booked this experience via Lights of Lapland and it's fair to say it didn't disappoint. We booked this as part of celebration my partners 50th this year. On the morning of 2/12 we were picked up in Björkliden which was our base for the weekend with our RV. Our guides transported us to Jukkasjärvi where we met our guides and and all the dogs. It was a cold day, minus 24, but it didn't feel quite that cold. Aron and his staff kitted us out with warm overalls, boots and gloves. We then got to spend some time in the kenneln meeting the dogs before getting on to our sleds. We then took off through a wooded area before we got o to more of an open landscape. About halfway, we stopped on a frozen lake where there was a tipi by the lake. We were offered tea, coffee and some cinnamon buns by a wood fire, which helped to warm us up. I had a long chat with owner Aron, a fellow Swede, who was originally from Smygehuk (Swedens most southern place) and he told me about how he had come to live in the north and running a dogsledding business. Once we all were warmed up again and the dogs had finished resting, we set off for the second half. We drove around the lake, then onto a flat, open area before returning to the base via the same wooded area. We had an amazing day and can't thank Aron and his team enough. We'll also take him up on his suggestions to come back to the region in September time, as the colours of the nature are most vibrant then.

Ett utmärkt läge för en husbilsboende. Lugnt med en vacker liten vik. Det finns ett litet kafé på sommaren och till och med en liten, obemannad butik för det allra nödvändigaste. Du kan hyra SUP-paddling för att paddla i viken. Bekvämligheterna är mycket rena.
Bra ställe när du behöver tvätta en husbil på hög sida. Fick en ramp så det är lätt att göra rent taket också.
