This train company is probably one of the worst in Europe. During the last 2 years, a part from many delays, I have had 3 train cancellations with them when traveling to the airport (I was about to take a plane, so this situations were extremely stressful for me). They don't inform in advance about the possibility of having the train cancelled. They dont care when and where the train is stopped, they just drop you out without wanting to know anything about their customers. And on top of that they try their best to avoid reimburshing any expenses associated to their train cancellations. The last one for instance was on 1st of November, the train was stopped couple of stops after departuring (there were around 3/4 remaining of the full way to the airport). They did not informed about the train cancellation until at least 25 mintues after the train was stopped, and they did not inform about that in English. I had to rush a lot trying to get a taxi in order to be able to make it to the airport on time. And even once I reached the airport, I barely made it on time for boarding, having to run all around the airport to manage it. I had to pay a bit more than 1000kr for the taxi. When I claimed for a reimburshment, providing the taxi receipt, Mälartåg refused to reimbursh the cost of the taxi. They did not even fully reimburshed the price of their train ticket. So I ended up paying for 2 trips, the train one, and the taxi one. It is just depicable the poor service (including customer service) this company offers in Sweden, when taking into account the extremely high taxes that I was paying when living there. Of course I will tell my relatives and friends to avoid risking, by any means, taking a train with Mälartåg when traveling there.
