Reporna …

This was hands down the worst car rental experience I’ve ever had. After returning the vehicle, Europcar sent me a damage report claiming five very small scratches, including two located inside the door frame. The scratches were minor and likely from previous drivers that were never reported, which is especially believable given Europcar’s very inconsistent drop-off inspection process depending on location and staff. I accepted the damage report because I had insurance through my credit card and expected a standard claims process. Instead, Europcar refused to work directly with my insurance company and would only communicate with me, making the situation unnecessarily difficult. My insurance requested basic documentation, including: an invoice for the damages a closed contract an estimate for repairs Europcar explicitly told me they could not provide an invoice because they were not going to fix the scratches, meaning no invoice existed — yet they continued to pursue the charge anyway. I called every single morning asking for the remaining documents. Each time I was told someone would call me back. No one ever did. After speaking with multiple employees, they eventually stopped answering my calls entirely. I am now stuck unable to complete my insurance claim or recover my money. Europcar is charging for damage they admitted they will not repair, while refusing to provide the documentation required to resolve the claim. Unresponsive, unprofessional, and incredibly frustrating. Avoid Europcar unless you’re prepared for endless follow-ups and zero accountability
