Such a lovely place to stay! The old doctor’s house is full of charm and the rooms are warm and cozy. Surrounded by beautiful nature, it’s the perfect spot to relax. I stayed here in summer — just a short walk to Lake Särna for a swim, and a short drive from Sweden’s highest waterfall and the world’s oldest tree. Can’t recommend it enough!
Turistgården Hantverksbageri är ett utmärkt ställe för goda svenska bakverk till ett rimligt pris. De bakar också färskt bröd under dagen, vilket är svårt att hitta någon annanstans i närheten. Enkelt, lokalt och definitivt värt ett besök om du är i Särna.

Vi stannade här under vår motorcykeltur och älskade det! Blåbärsglassen var otrolig – krämig och full av smak. Tog även med oss några lokala korvar. Önskar att vi kunde ha köpt fler, men platsen på motorcykeln var begränsad. En riktig pärla, 5 stjärnor!
Visited twice and absolutely loved it! Their chicken burger is one of the best I’ve had – fresh, crispy, and full of flavor. Great vibe too, with lots of classic American cars around the parking lot. Friendly staff and open until late. 5 stars!

The journey to get here is already beautiful — you drive through endless forests and quiet, scenic roads. Once you arrive, you’re immediately surrounded by pure wilderness, with nothing but the sound of rushing water and birds. The waterfall itself is stunning, especially after some rain when the water flow is stronger. The combination of moss-covered rocks, crystal-clear water, and the dense green forest around it creates a magical atmosphere. There’s a calm pool at the bottom where you can sit and relax, dip your feet, or just enjoy the sound of nature. What I love most about Stops Vattenfall is that it’s not crowded or touristy at all. When I visited, I was alone, and it felt like I had discovered a hidden paradise. It’s perfect for photography, a picnic, or simply taking a moment to breathe and disconnect. If you’re in the Älvdalen area, this is a must-see stop. It’s not a huge tourist attraction, but that’s what makes it special — you can enjoy the raw beauty of Sweden’s nature without distractions. I highly recommend bringing good shoes, as the ground can be slippery near the water. Five stars, without a doubt. Nature at its finest!
