Flirting with gaining a Michelin star but not there yet, they should have 2 . The idyllic historic location next to the Hamilton castle , dating back to the 30 year war in 1630, and the well kept grounds, one was overwhelmed before even setting foot into the restaurant. Course after course of local produce and from afar, each dish was just salivating from the detailed and passionate descriptions from the chefs. It felt more like we were at a family do rather than in a restaurant. The wine package and juice package added to the experience, the French chef who served us was was very knowledgeable in the field of wine/grapes. He did admit that coming to Sweden the wine World had opened up even further with non-french wine from other regions. The juice package (blend of custom berries, fruits, vegetables) for non alcohol drinkers made the wine drinkers jealous, I know it did me. I have read the previous reviews about this restaurant, I was surprised this didn't rate higher. I have eaten in numerous restaurants around the world frequently, but this tops all of them. I don't rate this just on the food, it was the whole experience, accommodation, passionate and knowledgeable staff and chefs and owners who loved to share their trade , the magnificent nature, the constant call of deer at the dim hours. This is my experience, I hope you are as excited as I was.
