Very serious shortcomings in both treatment and patient safety. We were met by a dental hygienist who made incorrect medical claims regarding kidney failure. She claimed, among other things, that kidney transplants are not performed at the Academic Hospital and that my husband has a weakened immune system, which is not true. Spreading medically incorrect information in connection with treatment is unacceptable and instills a lack of trust. The treating dentist also asked an irrelevant question about whether we had moved from Stockholm to receive other healthcare, which was perceived as inappropriate. When extracting my husband's wisdom tooth, the procedure was started before the anesthesia had fully taken effect. This caused unnecessary suffering. One month after the procedure, he still cannot open his mouth normally. Sutures have also been placed in the cheek, which has caused ongoing discomfort. In light of what happened, the matter will be reported to the responsible authority.
