This accommodation is absolutely terrible. I do not recommend ANYONE to live there. My demented grandmother, who has neither the ability to speak nor to take care of hygiene or anything else, has been terribly mistreated. She has had glasses so dirty that you cannot see through them. She has managed to get out and fall without anyone noticing and has been out for about 20(!!!) minutes in the snow, wearing only underwear. She has been left in the emergency room for hours alone without being able to talk about why she is there and that she gets so terribly worried when she is left alone and then forgets what she is even doing there. This after she bled in her vagina which made us so terribly worried as her lock is not always locked even though it should be. However, the doctor says that there were no signs of abuse. This is a mixed ward with men and women and not everyone is demented. To unlock the door to my grandmother who is completely defenseless and can barely walk by herself, you have to press a button above the door. Someone everyone with their heads intact on the ward has learned and can do. This therefore provides no protection at all. However, the ward guarantees her safety.. Now a few days ago my grandmother was at the dentist and we then received a statement from him that her gums are completely inflamed, she was bleeding basically everywhere and food debris and tartar were everywhere. This means that they are not taking care of her teeth either. This leads to her being in pain of course, something she herself cannot express because she has no speech left. Now the dental hygienist has said that she should call my grandmother every three months to make sure this does not happen!?! Does it have to be like that?! Doesn't the management/staff have a responsibility for the most basic things like hygiene and diet. My grandmother obviously cannot eat properly if she has inflammation all over her mouth! We are now working as much as we can to move our grandmother and to get answers to how this can happen at Rönngården. TOTALLY UNBELIEVABLE, do not put your relatives here!! And to the management and the department, this is inhumane and an abuse that is not okay at all. This is NOT how it CAN be.
