In September 2024, I went to Sweden for the first time, alone with my two dogs. I found it incredibly nerve-wracking, but the contact with the landlord was very pleasant and put me at ease. Upon arrival, my car broke down; the two sons started it up, showed me around the house, and gave me instructions. Tomtebrölet is a very cozy cottage in a stunning location, in the woods with a private lake. The house was clean, and everything you need is present. On day two, the smoke detector battery was dead, and before I knew it, the landlord arrived with a new battery. At that moment, the Swedish equivalent of the ANWB was there; my battery had died, and he wanted to take my car to a garage far away. The landlord of the cottage didn't think this was a good idea and arranged a new battery himself and put it in my car! My dogs and I had a wonderful week with beautiful weather and deafening silence and peace. The surroundings are beautiful, and we enjoyed lovely walks. And on the landlord's recommendation, I also had the pleasure of doing some lovely shopping in Ullared. The communication with the landlord went wonderfully, even after I was already back home. I can only say that my holiday was amazing, and I will absolutely be back again!
