It was my first time at a WRC event with my girlfriend who has never even been to one rally never mind this. We chose Rally Finland because I knew the people there were friendly and it's regarded as the best rally on the calendar. We arrived at the airport and everything was quickly organised and so we hopped on the bus and away we went to the Himos ski resort where we were staying, approx. 45mins outside Jyväskylä where the service park was. The bus journey was 3 hours from Helsinki airport but the 2 buses stopped halfway for food which was great as we were staying in the cabins that were equipped with a cooker, fridge and microwave. Marc our tour guide was very good and made the whole experience enjoyable with a great mix of information about the days ahead along with all the goings on of what happened on the previous stages of the day and some great humour. He spoke in English and French but there were around 8 different nationalities on the bus. The 7:00 or 7:30 bus leaving times didn't bother us too much for each of the 4 days. From the shakedown to the power stage it was a carefree holiday all thanks to the brilliant organisation. Thanks for a wonderful experience Rally Travels and especially to Marc our tour guide.
