We travel a lot, and always look for top restaurants and special dining experiences in every city, and this was one of the best restaurants we’ve been to anywhere. The attention to detail, the service, the food, the room - there was nothing here that could be faulted. Staff spoke excellent English and were superb at dealing with our request for gluten free dishes. Their suggestions for food and wine were spot on, and every one of the dishes was sensational, both in the presentation and the taste. The absolute highlight of our stay in Stockholm.
This is possibly the loudest restaurant I’ve ever been to, though to be fair it was a Saturday night and there was a 21st birthday party at the next table. But if you don’t mind the noise the food here is sensational. We expected little more than decent Italian but were actually served superb food - big serves of extremely tasty food that went well beyond the standard dishes. Service was quick, very helpful with a request for gluten free, and at a very reasonable price.
Being first time visitors to Sweden we decided to try the “Swedish Tasting” herring platter and the seafood soup and were delighted with both. A helpful local explained the different ways the herrings had been prepared and that we were eating the sort of dish locals would have as a Christmas treat. Service was super fast - line up, choose, pay and then the food was prepared and handed over within minutes. We found a seat at their adjoining tables and sat down to enjoy the view of the food hall and the fabulous lunch. Highly recommended as an introduction to Stockholm food.
This is a relatively small food hall compared to others in Europe with only a small number of stalls selling fresh food, as much of the space is given over to restaurants. But it’s a superb looking building, busy, without feeling too crammed, and there’s plenty of food to admire and buy.

Jättebra liten gelatobutik precis bredvid färjekajen. Blir fullsatt när färjorna anländer, men de serverar snabbt. Fantastiska smaker, härlig gelato.
Det här är möjligen den högljuddaste restaurangen jag någonsin varit på, men för att vara rättvis var det en lördagskväll och det var en 21-årsfest vid bordet bredvid. …
