We hired Magnus to assemble and finish an IKEA kitchen. Hourly rate 837.50 SEK/h incl. VAT (according to invoice), but the result and service did not match the price. The kitchen was left unfinished and several elements required me to point out errors myself before anything was fixed, including that the countertop did not line up with the wall plate. He also called our products “crap” and seemed unsure about elements such as the under-glued sink. The wall plate and countertop took up an entire working day even though everything was custom-made and holes for the faucet and sink had already been made. The cleanliness and orderliness were poor. Rubbish and shavings were left inside and outside, and I later found pieces of laminate flooring under the cabinets. When he finished, dirty work mats were also left behind with us, as well as pieces of trim and other debris outside our entrance. The wrong fit pieces were used and cut so we have to order new ones from IKEA (about a two week wait) to finish the kitchen. We are bringing in another carpenter to finish. I strongly advise against hiring anyone. If you want a professional finish and a finished kitchen on time, choose someone else.
