The place is perfect for families with children and us who live nearby. There is also a ramp for wheelchair users. In addition, this swimming area has existed for centuries, originally so that workers could lie down - hence the name. Many generations have learned to swim here:) SHAME on the municipality that manages it so badly. Half the pond is overgrown with reeds. So is the "sandy beach" which fulfills an important function (getting the kids up so they warm up between dips). I pointed this out to the municipality who "will forward it to the person in charge". That was a couple of years ago. Obviously, people respectfully ignore this in this part of the county. Please note that the pictures are from many years ago..now there is minimal maintenance.
