Like a bad parody of healthcare. Very quick so-called examination of the child who has a lot of ear and throat pain and a real red swelling in the throat. Listens to lungs over clothes and manages to make an assessment of the throat without even looking properly. No sampling was apparently needed. We were told to take Alvedon. At another healthcare contact the same day but in Vetlanda, an emergency appointment was offered due to suspected throat abscess, which after examination was ruled out and after sampling, serious tonsillitis and ear infection were found. We went home with a course of antibiotics and gratitude that not all doctors are as nonchalant!
