The store is located on the top floor of NK Stockholm. It offers a wide variety of Christmas items at reasonable prices. There are two checkout counters, each near a different aisle. When I was queuing on one side, a middle-aged cashier with short blonde hair completely ignored me when it was my turn. She reached past me and called over the next customer on the other side. I'm not sure if I was in the wrong line, but because I have an Asian appearance, I chose not to offer assistance and simply ignored her. This was the first time I'd encountered such blatant racism in Scandinavia. Later, another younger cashier assisted me with the checkout. She was friendly and carefully helped pack the items. If you are sensitive to racism and cannot accept it, I suggest avoiding this store. instead. I am not certain whether I was standing in the wrong queue, but being disregarded in that manner—without any clarification or guidance—made me feel that it was because of my East Asian appearance. It was the first time during my travels in the Nordic countries that I experienced such overt racial discrimination. Afterward, a younger staff member assisted me with the checkout. She was friendly and attentive, and carefully wrapped my purchases. If you are sensitive to issues of racial discrimination or feel uncomfortable encountering such situations, it may be best to avoid this shop.
