I stayed there at the "Lovely Home in Animskog with Wifi" for a Business Trip of 2 weeks. This place is perfect for families – swing, sandpit, playhouse with slide, and a trampoline to keep the kids happy. The internet is lightning fast, which was a big plus. The house has a cozy “grandma’s hunting lodge” feeling – warm wooden furniture, rustic details, and a sense of tradition that makes you feel instantly at home. It’s the kind of atmosphere where you can imagine sitting down with a cup of coffee after a walk in the forest, surrounded by memories and stories from generations past. At the same time, everything is functional, clean, and in good working order, which made the stay very comfortable. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming – I was even greeted with a welcome cake! Everything was spotless clean and very well organized. The bed was honestly the best I’ve slept in so far in Sweden – not too soft and spongy like most others, but really comfortable. The nearby lake is just around the corner, although the weather didn’t give me the chance for a swim this time. A very quiet location where I slept exceptionally well. Highly recommended!

Feels like staying with an old friend – warm, relaxed, and incredibly well-kept Boaryd Golf Bed and Breakfast is one of those rare finds that feels more like staying with an old friend than booking a room. Markus, the owner, is the heart and soul of the place – a genuinely kind and helpful host who goes out of his way to make sure everything runs smoothly and feels personal. During my stay, his mother Marianne – who normally shares the hosting – was away for a short time, so Markus handled everything himself. He did an amazing job, and you could tell how much heart both of them must put into running the place. The rooms are clean, cozy, and no-nonsense – just what you need. The shared bathrooms are also in good, functional condition. I particularly liked the smaller bathroom, which had better water pressure. A small note: the ceiling had clearly been prepped for a spotlight setup, but instead, a bright LED lamp had been installed – likely for practical reasons. The open notches where the spots might eventually go are still visible, so maybe it’s a solution on hold or part of a longer-term plan. Either way, the current setup works just fine. It actually gave the space a bit of a “lived-in” character – I even caught myself thinking I’d happily help Markus finish the detailing, just like I’ve done at home. That said, after what seemed like a busy few weeks with many guests passing through, I’d gently suggest that the showers might benefit from a proper deep clean every now and then – just to reset everything to fresh and spotless as not everybody seems to leave it as spotless as you initially find them. Breakfast is simple but well thought-out. You choose between sandwiches with hard-boiled eggs or a combo of sandwich and cereal. I personally went for the sandwich option each morning, which was perfect since I had to leave early – just grab and go. Milk and fruit juice are available in the fridge, and you're also welcome to store your own food or drinks there. Beyond breakfast, there are lovely extras: free coffee and tea available all day – a gesture you’d expect in a 4- or 5-star hotel. And then there’s the brilliant honesty bar: snacks, chocolate bars, and ice cream available 24/7. You just note what you take and pay later when you see Markus. The prices are more than fair – a Mars bar for 15 SEK, which is a fraction of what many hotels charge. It’s a great system and another example of the trust-based, relaxed atmosphere Markus (and Marianne) have created. Evenings on the terrace, looking out over the driving range, are peaceful and relaxing. Everyone I met – guests and host alike – seemed chilled out and in good spirits. It's the kind of place where you feel instantly welcome and unbothered. The only small downside for me was the mattress – a bit on the soft side. If you're not a light sleeper or on the heavier side, it might be noticeable. But that’s a very minor point in an otherwise outstanding experience. It should also be noted, that they likely have the most stable and sufficient bandwidth free wifi in the building that I came across traveling quite a bit in my life - I think it does not reach to the spots for the RVs, but I could be wrong on that. I didn’t stay in a caravan myself, but I noticed the spots looked neat and well-priced – a solid option if you're travelling that way. All in all: Boaryd Golf B&B is a gem – honest, peaceful, and run with heart. It’s not luxury in the traditional sense, but it offers something even better: genuine hospitality and a place that just feels right. I’ll gladly be back.
