Could be nice with more lifts to the top. We had two days where the gondol lift was closed because of wind.

This is a great place for the casual skier or family where people are still learning. Great staff, decent capacity in the lift and good meeting point where almost all hills meet. Also good Ski parks with well built jumps. If you're looking for long does with challenges then you're better off at another system.

Great ski resort suitable for both single travelers and families.
There are a lot of beginners and intermediate slopes (green & blue) as well as more advanced (red & black).
There is possibility to go for cross country skiing too, a nice track takes you around the mountain and takes you up to the toppstugan where you can enjoy the view and have a break together with your alpine skier’s friends.

My first time to do alpine ski in Scandinavia. Powdered dry snow and great for beginners like us as there were rather long piste which were wide and not too steep. On some days they had live music after ski at Halstar Bar, a choice of after ski relaxation. Quality and choice of food were ok. You may also cook in hotel/cabin. There were other activities like snowmobils and trekking. I wish I can join next time.

Good location, great for kids. I had an issue with booking, I was told my room was close to the ski in and out area and close to kids area and had a sauna, when I arrived and checked the room, it was not close and had no sauna. I went to reception on site and was told unfortunately there is nothing they can do and only option is to pay for current accommodation and then to pay for new accommodation with my original request.
Pretty disappointing giving they had what I requested but gave me something else.

The staff in the top skugan did not really want to help to much, seems like they had there own personal dramas going on and reluctant to assist in simple requests of customer service.

Food was good, trolls where great for kids, awesome work by the trolls and mountains well maintained and no trash ect.

I would definitely recommend this place, i would just like to make the potential guests aware of my issues.

Best ski resort in Sälen. Cabin to the top and a great mix of blue - black slopes. Also has a park and junior park with jumps and rails. Lots of restaurants and a great waffle place. Lots of people but rarely over crowded.

We really enjoyed our time skiing at Klappen. It is a lovely little resort which caters for all. My only reservation is that for experienced skiers who like black runs and extreme excitement, I am not sure you would want to stay here for more than 2 fulls day skiing, unless you were with a mixed party and less experienced skiers? I just don't think the resort is big enough and offers enough runs and excitement. Although, I am sure less experienced skiers and kids would be more than happy to spend a week here. Staff are friendly at this site and I found other skiers were mostly considerate to others on the slopes. We stayed in a pet friendly chalet at the top which was perfect. The cat and dog had a great time. Snow conditions were perfect and the temperature was around the -9 during the day which was nice as 1st evening we arrived it was -20.5.
