Erica has been doing my family's taxes for over a decade now, and has never disappointed. Regarding the last reviewers claim that Erica's EA status is somehow less than a CPA, that is simply false. EAs are federally authorized tax practitioners who can
represent taxpayers before the IRS on matters ranging from collections to IRS audits and appeals. Additionally, they often
provide tax advice file tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, estates, trusts, and other entities with tax-reporting requirements. Many EAs are also members of the National Association of Enrolled Agents, which has even higher standards for continuing education, as well as its own Code of Ethics. As for her claim of some type of breach of ethics, I find that impossible to believe. Erica has been completely professional and above board in doing our taxes, as well as dealing with the IRS on our behalf when there was a mix up. I would HIGHLY recommend Erica, and have recommended her to many others who are equally satisfied.

There may be some integrity issues with sharing confidential client information. She will not respond to emails regarding the alleged breach. She was given opportunity to explain her side of the issue, with no response. There are a lot of other more qualified tax professionals out there to use. She is not a CPA only an 'enrolled agent' who does not belong to the societies of her profession; The National Society of Accountants or WI Association of Accountants, both of which have membership categories for Enrolled Agents.
