The Friendly Moose- Making Lapland Accessible

We stayed at The Friendly Moose as a family and can really recommend it. My wife, her mother, her boyfriend, and her grandmother were with us. My wife's grandmother is in a wheelchair, weighs about 95 kg, and has limited mobility due to her advanced age and weight. That's why it was particularly important for us to find accommodation that was equipped for this and could offer appropriate support. That's exactly what we found here. Paul went to incredible lengths to make our stay special. He planned a week for us in advance and organized all the activities so that everyone could participate. We were particularly impressed that my wife's grandmother was able to join in all the activities. We experienced so much during the week: sledding, husky sledding, a reindeer sleigh ride, cozy moments by the fire in the forest, and beautiful walks in nature. Paul was always there to help, including with transfers, to ensure that everything was safe and relaxed. The accommodation itself is clean, very well equipped, and you immediately feel welcome. We would particularly like to highlight the exceptional service. Paul is incredibly friendly, helpful, and very experienced. It was an unforgettable week for us as a family and an experience that we will remember for a long time. Thank you very much for the great time!

My partner booked us in to stay with Paul and Maria for five days as a surprise for my birthday. We stayed for five days and we had the most amazing time. They were so warm and welcoming. I am in a wheelchair and we did things that I never thought I'd be able to do, and it wouldn't have been possible without Paul and his 'anything is possible' attitude. It was a trip of a lifetime and I have left with memories I will cherish for the rest of my life.

This trip would not have been at all possible for me, at 86, had it not been for Paul willing transporting me in a wheelchair in his specially fitted van. It has to be one of the best trips I have ever undertaken. My sincere thanks to Paul + Maria for the wonderful activities they organised for us. Who knew I could do dog and reindeer sledding on a frozen river at my age!! Meeting and spending time with both locals and expats across Scandinavia made our trip so much more enjoyable and memorable.
