Warning for those with dark paint - got lots of scratches on both sides of my newly reconditioned car Washed my black Volvo here last August 2025 and got extensive scratches along both sides of the car. The car was bought in July and newly reconditioned when purchased and washed by hand when I was home in Stockholm. This was the first time I washed it in an automatic car wash as I was not at home and was tipped off about this car wash. The scratches were discovered immediately after the wash and the staff took pictures themselves which confirms that they saw the damage. Despite this, their insurance company and the station manager are denying compensation with the argument that it is "normal wear and tear" - on a car that has never been machine washed before! Their insurance company also claims that since no one else complained that day, it can't be their fault. But as everyone knows, scratches are much more visible on dark paint than on light paint, and many may not discover the damage until later. Facts: Scratch marks along both sides of the car Staff documented only one of many scratches Insurance company refuses compensation Car was newly reconditioned and had only been hand washed before Recommendation: If you have a dark car - go somewhere else! It's not worth the risk. I wish I had listened to my gut and continued hand washing. Now I'm left with a damaged car and have to pay for paint reconditioning out of my own pocket. Especially disappointed that they don't take responsibility when the damage clearly occurred on their part. Stay away!
