Only positive things about Vidilab.
Now I happen to live so close that I don't have to use Postnord to get the samples, yes, yes, IF Postnord doesn't manage to fail on the way, about 40 minutes from the time the feces leaves the sheep's butt, it's at the lab, then it doesn't take long before the answer to the basic analysis rings in the incoming mail, if there is any doubt, the contact will be made about the same time, then it will be decided whether and if so what the next step will be, such as a PCR test.
I tried the new place for members of G&D since 1/1 2025 already in January 2025, well what can I say, "find 5 errors" wasn't enough. Their logistics company Crown Scandinavia was nothing to complain about but it didn't take a few 40 minutes, from Västerås to Uppsala after submission in Västerås, the next day from Uppsala to Lidköping BUT ... there it was left lying around as no one knew that a stool sample could even arrive, it took 4 days before their system had managed to get it down to the lab I even had to contact the lab before it was supposed to close for the day on the fourth day and then sure enough after further delay a test result came. Your test result signed in the same way that Biden during his so-called presidency signed what a president needed in the USA, i.e. with the so-called autographs. Swedac's accreditation stamp was up in the right corners of the test result it is believed that the lab had not approved accreditation, i.e. delay in transport of stool, no idea that stool samples could even arrive and so a false statement that the lab was accredited, (that autograph signature is as it is). That wasn't enough, my SE number was wrong, the lab didn't seem to have access to SE numbers (if they even knew what they were) as the number used didn't even exist, then the carousel started spinning in an accelerating motion. Sure, there was a corrected test result without the accreditation mark, but otherwise exactly the same with the wrong SE number. Since this was not an animal from my herd but an animal that was possibly going to be purchased, it was an "extra haul" which was analyzed at Vidilab (it's a half-hour drive from Västerås to Enköping and since the new lab was completely untested and this is extra important when purchasing new animals, an analysis was also done at Vidilab, that answer came quickly but it was about three times as high values and it was a bad one - Haemonchus so the animal including accompanying parasites had to remain in place so to speak.
Then came the next one, an invoice, I was supposed to get the transport fee credited for the next "trial" but since I'm in the sheep money, the sample needs to be analyzed at an accredited lab to be included in the conditions that must be met, it ended up with a credit invoice.
As I wrote earlier in the text (find five errors)+++, I've since seen what happened and yes, a little discount is certainly good, it's actually included in what we pay to G&D so any discount, well, that's a bummer refund, but precise analyses recommended by knowledgeable parasitologists in agreement are worth the small discount - like what a pizza costs, so you can skip a pizza every now and then so that your animals feel as good as possible and "terrible thought" that the baits will be contaminated and unusable for several years to come if you want your animals to have the best conditions.
Then Easter came and then it was time to read on Facebook, it has since continued with errors on errors on errors and a lot of angry and/or sad shepherds, the latest public disaster was just before Christmas, maybe it was already in October when there was a sheep owner who submitted a sample to the "lab" but where their basic analysis said eggs while their PCR test said no traces, there was a lot on Facebook about it for a long time, lots of comments and lots of those who commented who realized the same thing as the thread creator had done, there were all kinds of different errors and misses, interesting reading almost like a farce, what can I say, everything is not A little discount, in my world it's the result that counts, you have to think a little ahead (in the long run), sometimes a hundred more in the present is better than thousands later.
