Äventyrets preschool believes that it is appropriate to introduce discussions about gender identity for children aged 2-5. We of course believe that this is reprehensible, while they believe that it is innocent and that children, on the contrary, like to discuss these topics. Instead, we believe that children should be allowed to be children and that preschool and the subsequent school should be non-political and not an institution for indoctrination. Unfortunately, these ideas seem to flourish particularly strongly at Äventyrets preschool and despite our remarks, we more or less got the message that we should align ourselves with them. For those of you who think that these are just innocent books and are not about indoctrination, I find it hard to believe that other books about, for example, the traditional nuclear family where the woman stays at home and takes care of the children (i.e. they are not in preschool), cooking, washing, etc. while the man is out earning money and is the head of the family would not be popular with you.
