Hello Parents, PROTECT OUR CHILDREN!!! I want to address an important issue that I recently discussed with the preschool principal and that I think many of you may not be aware of. It concerns the material that our children receive, specifically material about gender identity. I feel that this content is not appropriate for children aged 2-5, and I want to share with you the arguments I made during my conversation with the principal. First, I believe that children at the age of five are still developing a basic understanding of the world and themselves. Introducing complex concepts such as gender identity at this stage can be confusing and inhibiting for their cognitive and emotional development. Children first and foremost need a stable and clear foundation for their identity before they can understand these abstract concepts. Furthermore, I believe that the most important thing at this age is to provide children with emotional stability and security. The introduction of gender identity can create emotional confusion and overload, which I do not believe is conducive to their well-being. I also believe that it is my right as a parent to have influence over the educational decisions that affect my child, especially on sensitive topics like gender identity. I suggested to the principal that it is better to focus on universal values such as equality, respect for differences, and empathy, without prematurely addressing ideologically charged concepts like gender identity. This way, our children can learn to be inclusive and respectful without having to deal with topics they are not yet ready to understand. The principal listened to my arguments and said that she would not adjust the way they present literature that addresses gender identity in preschool. Despite this, I believe that more parents should be aware of what is happening in preschool and be given the opportunity to speak out. The principal’s attitude from the first time I requested the meeting was one of someone who does not want to listen. It was arbitrary. She wanted to know a little bit about what I wanted to talk about and at that very moment she told me that nothing I said would change the way children were given material through literature about gender ideology. So I told her that it was very important that she at least listen to the arguments in a meeting and after the meeting she said that gender ideology would continue to be imposed through books "for preschoolers". I have great respect for everything about gender identity but I definitely believe that a child between the ages of 2 and 5 should not be forced to understand this ideology in preschool for the reasons I have explained before.
