I handed in my generator that had problems with the speed control for troubleshooting/repair. After two weeks without feedback, I went back to BrinkTec. They had not been able to get hold of me as they had no phone/email... which they had received when I handed it in. They had noted the same symptoms as I had but could not get through because they did not have any contact information for the manufacturer/ÄF. I googled these (ÄF in Sweden) for them and also received suggestions for troubleshooting which I forwarded to BrinkTec. Time passed again without any feedback. I visited them again and was told that the proposed action from Sweden had not yielded results. I asked them if they could not contact me directly, well they could certainly do that... No feedback so today, almost three months after I handed in the generator, I went to pick it up. They had originally expected €180 but reduced it to €80 themselves. When I pointed out that I was not satisfied, they reduced it to €60 and I got the unrepaired generator back. The generator had been running for about five hours and was visually in new condition when I returned it, I had taken care of it meticulously and had only had a small hint of stain... it doesn't look like that anymore. Avoid this company. I made the mistake of giving them a second chance, last time I waited at least a month for a belt for a lawnmower, even then without feedback, before I gave up and went to BoBil who had the belt on the shelf.
