I placed an order for a product that was shown as in stock. The payment was processed immediately and I received an order confirmation, but no shipping update followed. After waiting a full week with no communication, I contacted customer support myself. Only then was I informed that the item was actually out of stock due to incorrect inventory levels and that they had simply forgotten to notify me. I did receive a refund, but the overall experience was very disappointing. Poor inventory management and lack of proactive communication made this a frustrating process. Lack of responsibility when making a complaint about tea I have shopped at Råvarubutiken before, but after their handling of a complaint, I will look for other suppliers for goods such as tea in the future. I made a complaint about an organic tea that, according to the description, should have a "deep and powerful flavor". When I opened the package for the first time, with a best before date that was still far in the future, the product was completely tasteless and felt old. When I contacted customer service, I was met with a response that does not comply with applicable regulations. The company claims that the best before date is not a guarantee of quality (which goes against the Swedish Food Agency's definition). They also ignore the rules in the Consumer Purchase Act (2022:260) on the burden of proof, where the responsibility lies with the seller during the first two years to prove that a product was free from defects upon delivery. Despite the fact that the tea was stored unopened in a dark cupboard in an opaque bag, they are trying to deflect responsibility by speculating that the fault is due to my storage, even though it tasted the same immediately upon opening. It is regrettable that the store does not stand behind its own taste descriptions or follow the statutory rules for complaints when a product does not meet the standards.
