Review: Finjagården Treatment Home Based on my own experiences and observations, I unfortunately cannot recommend Finjagården Treatment Home. I experienced several significant shortcomings in both management and operations, which in turn negatively affected the quality of care and created an ineffective treatment environment. Treatment plan and medical follow-up In my individual care plan, there was a clear goal to change my LARO medication from Buvidal to Methadone, with the aim of reducing the number of substances and achieving a more stable treatment. Although this was partly outside of Finjagården's direct responsibility, I felt that the support from the staff to implement this change was very limited. The concrete work to achieve this goal was basically non-existent, and only after I had finished my time at Finjagården could the treatment be adjusted according to the plan. This contributed to a feeling of a lack of coordination and commitment in the medical part of the care. Finance and management The operation gives the impression of primarily focusing on financial compensation from the municipality rather than on offering quality and individualized treatment. The management's control seems to severely limit the staff's ability to act independently and professionally based on the clients' needs. This control creates a perception that financial interests are prioritized over the clients' well-being and recovery. Treatment and activities The support measures offered were perceived as insufficient. Although some activities were available, the number of places was very limited, which meant that many were not able to participate. This goes against the basic idea of a treatment stay, where structure, meaningful employment and community should be central parts of rehabilitation. The overall impression is that the operation lacks both resources and the will to create an environment that promotes development and recovery. Food and accommodation Meals were also a source of dissatisfaction. Leftovers from previous days were often served, which led to a one-sided and inadequate diet. For a treatment facility that is supposed to support physical and mental health, this is seen as particularly inappropriate. Conclusion Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Finjagården Treatment Home. There are other more serious and professional alternatives where the client's needs, health and recovery are put first. My impression is unfortunately that Finjagården is driven to a greater extent by financial motives than by a genuine desire to help people achieve sustainable recovery.
