Really really nice owners and staff. Great food, even when busy very attentive service and extremely well priced. Would highly recommend if you want great Thai food. The buffet a little altered to local Swedish tastes (got to cater to the locals) but if you order a la carte from the menu and ask for 'Thai style' you will certainly get 100% authentic with no compromises. Wonderful Thai owners and well worth a visit if you are in Trollhättan. Also great for kids (we had two with us and no worries at all).

Safe, kid friendly, spacious, comfortable, decent drinks selection and solid food but utterly bland service and atmosphere. Much less friendly and engaging service than at their Vänersborg branch. Despite an almost empty pub, no banter or chat, no warm welcome or goodbye. Also noticeably more expensive than Vänersborg and no happy hour to speak of on Friday evening. Staff perfectly polite but no warmth or engagement that you might expect in a proper Irish American sportsbar. They need to send their staff to a proper pub and teach 'em how to be CHARMING. Otherwise perfectly pleasant.
I have been to Bishop's at least a dozen times since I moved to Sweden and it is extremely reliable. Very friendly and flexible service, wide beer (and even cask beer) selection, and solid opening hours. Also, it does a good job of simulating the British local pub feel with low volume/appropriate music and an easy going/informal atmosphere. Prices are on the high side reflecting that Bishop's Arms is part of a corporate chain with hotel connections all over Sweden. Don't expect happy hour prices as in some of the other pubs in the city. In addition, the only weak spot is the authenticity of the food. While definitely fresh and well prepared the menu lacks breadth of proper English/British pub favourites such as various pies, scampi, gammon, curry, pasties, sausage rolls, chip butty and so on. It does have fish and chips but sadly they serve thin American style fast food fries that you would find in a burger chain rather than properly hand cut thick British style chips and also no option for beef dripping for the chips which would add real authenticity at very low cost. The rest of the menu (burgers, Swedish pub fare and pasta dishes) is not really British pub food at all but more 'international bar/fast-casual fare). So don't expect British style pub/home cooking or authenticity when it comes to the food. That said, the food is perfectly passable if a little over priced. Stand out is the atmosphere, service and drinks selection. Recommend go there for your pints and banter as they are first class.

Remember The Crow's Nest in 'The Perfect Storm' with George Clooney and Mark Wahlberg- absolutely spot on! Low key New England style simple pub with cozy atmosphere, limited but hearty and authentic menu and excellent tap beer collection including their own brews. Service is a standout and prices reasonable for Sweden with some good happy hour offers. Highly recommended for craft beer/real ale enthusiasts or if you like North Eastern American comfort food which is of well above average quality. Let's go catch some fish!!!
